Walls of stacked stone surround the courtyard, providing some solace from the constant bustle of the city on the other side. At one end of the courtyard, a pair of aged mahogany doors leads into the manor while a wrought-iron gate at the opposite end leads back to the city. Along the perimeter, an assortment of topiaries, bushes, and ivies has been planted, their blooms blanketing the area with a soft, floral scent.
