Every available surface on the otherwise bare walls is covered with detailed carvings of mythical creatures, vermilion and ultramarine paint still clinging to the deeper recesses of the bas-reliefs. There is no history to be read in the mute stone, though, and it is impossible to tell if the owners of the hall fled or died here.
